The
aliens are having dinner in a restaurant and are disgruntled when
the management moves them to another table and gives their table
to Mark Hamill. An irate Sally confronts Hamill and forcibly removes
him from the table which makes her an overnight celebrity in Rutherford.
Just because someone’s famous doesn’t give them the right to walk
all over people, Sally asserts. Dick deeply resents that Sally is
in the spotlight as she is interviewed by the press and appears
on talk shows. Mary explains Warhol’s concept of "15 minutes of
fame" to Dick. Harry gets in the act by being Sally’s fawning social
secretary, while Sally starts displaying all the character traits
of a self-absorbed celebrity. Dick decides that the only way he
can have his turn in the limelight is to punch Mark Hamill out himself,
and Harry, as Sally’s spotlight begins to fade, refuses to let go
of the fantasy.
