The
aliens decide that they need to be a two-car family, so Sally, Harry
and Tommy go shopping. Sally sees a Viper and falls in love; she
has to have it even though it’s way out of their price range. While
standing in line at the movie theater, Dick meets Anita, a woman
who immediately begins coming on to him; after the movie they have
sex in the Rambler, and Dick thinks he’s gone to heaven. He’s amazed
and pleased when Anita says it was a one-time thing. Sally and Harry
start telling everyone they’re getting a Viper; Tommy’s against
the idea until August says that the car will impress all the bimbos
at school. Dick tells anyone who will listen about the joys of casual
sex; the other aliens, Mary and Nina all hear more about his tryst
with Anita than they care to know. In class he continues talking
about his one-night- stand in so much detail that Bug recognizes
the woman as his mother. When Mary finds out, she angrily reproaches
Dick for being so insensitive to Bug’s feelings. Tommy’s having
a great time impressing Tina (one of the so-called bimbos) with
stories about the Viper he’s about to own; Tommy tells Dick they’ve
got to get that car because his love life depends on it. But when
they consult with the salesman, he informs them that all they can
afford is a Nova; Sally tells him he’s ruined the experience of
car-shopping for them, and they’ll look elsewhere. Bug and his classmates
are amazed when Bug, who usually fails, receives and ‘A-‘ on a physics
exam; the class accuses Dick of favoritism, and when Mary hears
about it, she’s even more scandalized. Dick tells Bug he’s sorry
for what he said about his mother and also that he’s compelled to
give Bug the ‘F’ that he deserves. After Dick is beaten up by Bug’s
father and brothers, he tells the aliens that there’s no such thing
as casual sex; there were so many repercussions.
