Dick and Jennifer are madly in love and quite pleased with themselves. A giggly Dick tells Don how happy he is, but Don says he'd better tell Mary right away because the whole thing could blow up in his face. Sally, Harry and Tommy decide to rearrange the furniture in the apartment so they can lounge in the kitchen and make toast in the living room. Jennifer speaks to Dick mostly in rhyme which he finds utterly charming. When Dick tells Mary that they both should start seeing other people, she thinks it's ludicrous; who else would Dick want to date? But Nina isn't so sure that Mary should take this so lightly. Later, when Mary surprises Dick and Jennifer in mid-kiss, she's furious. Jennifer's embarrassed, but Dick is totally cavalier; he and Mary agreed to see other people. It's not long before Dick begins to tire of Jennifer's incessant rhyming and her boring discussions about her food allergies. As Dick begins to pull away, Jennifer wants to be like Siamese twins, and soon he's fallen completely out of love.
To complicate matters, the other aliens meet Jennifer and think she's fabulous. Mary shows up drunk at the apartment and tells Dick never to speak to her again. Dick confides to Don that he's made a big mistake.
