It
finally dawns on Dick, Harry and Tommy that their apartment has
become a wreck since Sally moved out. They suggest to Sally that
she still might like to do their cleaning, but she wants no part
of it. Tommy, in search of an extra-curricular activity, decides
to work on the Zephyr, the school newspaper. Mary refuses to clean
for Dick but she does give him the telephone number of Cathy, her
maid. Cathy does a great cleaning job for them, and Dick, Harry,
and Tommy are ecstatic. Sally talks to Cathy and is amazed that
Cathy’s getting paid for what she did for free. Mary is furious
when she learns that Cathy is working full-time for the aliens and
has no time to clean for her. Tommy accepts the position of editor
on the Zephyr. He’s surprised to learn that August, his ex-girlfriend,
also works on the paper. Tommy decides that what the paper needs
is some hard-hitting investigative reporting. The paper ’s popularity
skyrockets, but school officials take a dim view of Tommy’s journalistic
style. The real trouble starts when Tommy publishes August’s scathing
review of Alissa’s performance in a school production of "My Fair
Lady." When Sally, feeling a little insecure, asks how Cathy is
working out, Harry tells her that Cathy does everything around the
house better than she ever did. Sally confronts Cathy, says she’s
certainly made herself at home, and calls her a slut. Mary shows
up at the apartment to try to steal Cathy back. When she realizes
Cathy isn’t there, she heads for Cathy’s house with Dick and Harry
following her. Cathy arrives at home to find Sally serving dinner
to her family. She asks Cathy how it feels to be replaced. Mary,
Dick and Harry arrive, and Cathy, convinced that they’re all out
of their minds, throws everyone out.
