Prompted
by a Harrison Ford magazine cover, Dick considers having plastic
surgery, despite Mary's assurances that she loves him the way he
is. Right before his surgery, Dick looks in a mirror to "say goodbye"
to his old features, and realizes that his face is a character-filled
scrapbook of all of his cherished experiences -- he doesn't want
to change a thing. When Dick's doctor tells Sally he could make
her look "less tired," she thinks of herself as less than perfect,
and wonders how a great-looking gut like Officer Don can stand to
be seen with her. When she confronts him with her feelings, he tells
her that he can deal with the disparity in their appearances if
she can. Dick's doctor proclaims Harry to be cosmetically "perfect,"
but Harry ultimately gets tired of being just a pretty face, and
decides not to be handsome anymore.
