Episode #510 "Dick Strikes Out"

  When huge funding cuts are announced, Dick tells Pendelton's new chancellor that the entire faculty is willing to resign in protest, but the chancellor calls Dick's bluff. Dick, caught, saves himself by withdrawing his own resignation letter... then doesn't understand why the other professors -- especially Mary -- are cheesed at him. Dick goes back to the chancellor and re-bluffs him -- this time, that he has friends on the board of trustees -- and the chancellor, believing him, caves to the faculty's demands. Also, Alissa gets Tommy a job working with her at Mrs. Fetzel's Homemade Pretzels. Irked by Alissa's domineering management style, Tommy gives oodles of free pretzels to Harry and Sally, who use them to set up a competing business right across form Mrs. Fetzel's. Alissa has mall security shut them down, and she fires Tommy.
