When
Sally spends all the food money on shoes, it is clear to everyone
that she has a problem. Her room is already filled with shoes and
her mattress is made entirely of shoeboxes. Mrs. Dubcek has taken
a nasty fall and Vicki returns with little Eric Travis to take care
of her. Everyone is surprised so see that Vicki looks very upscale,
almost unrecognizable. She confides that she’d really hit bottom
before Eric Travis came along. She actually believed that an alien
had impregnated her. Dick and Nina are at the office when the Big
Giant Head a/k/a Stone Phillips, suddenly appears in the doorway.
Obnoxious as ever, he announces that he’s back in Rutherford to
claim his son so he can groom him for his future throne. Sally says
Harry must find it hard having Vicki around, but Harry insists that
he’s over her. The BGH arrives at the Solomon apartment and when
he sees Vicki holding his child, he is overcome with genuine emotion.
He’s in love. When Dick informs him that Vicki despises him, he
orders Dick to make her love him. If Dick doesn’t succeed, he’ll
be pulled off this mission and sent to Mars. Dick asks Mary what
made her love him but doesn’t get a satisfactory answer. Tommy tells
Sally the first step in curing her shoe addiction is to cut up her
credit cards. She reluctantly hands them over. Both Dick and Harry
fail in their attempts to counsel the BGH on how to win Vicki. The
BGH says that he gets Vicki or Dick dies. Harry asks if it would
be bad if he told the BGH that he still loves Vicki. Dick says Harry
will be squashed like a bug. Dick convinces Vicki to go out to dinner
with "Stone," Mary and himself. Sally is strung out from shoe addiction
withdrawal, and Tommy tries to hypnotize her to free her from her
addition. He fails but manages to hypnotize Harry who wakes up and
announces he goings to the restaurant to declare his love for Vicki.
But before he can act, Stone has told Vicki his true feelings for
her and they get back together.
