Tommy has been named class valedictorian, and has no idea what should be in
his speech. Sally overhears Alissa suggesting that Tommy talk about moving on
and saying goodbye to friends, and she thinks that Alissa , not too subtly, is trying
to break up with Tommy. Sally's enjoying having Janice to hang out with. Harry's
clearly enamored with her, and Sally tells him that if he wants Janice he should go
for it. Harry goes to the gym and asks Janice out on a real date. The Big Giant Head
and Vicki arrive unexpectedly, and it's immediately clear that the honeymoon is over. The BGH insists that Dick take him out to club that night in spite of the fact that Dick has already made plans with Mary. Dick finds it unsettling when the BGH announces that he wants to get to know him. Sally shows up at school planning to tell Alissa that
Tommy's dumping her before she has a chance to dump Tommy. Alissa's very upset
and wants to know why Tommy isn't telling her himself. At the jazz club the BGH tells
Dick that his marriage is a sham, a charade. He wants Dick to tell him what he thinks of
him. The BGH starts singing along with the band and insists that the spotlight be put
on Dick. Embarrassed, Dick sings a little, and, when the audience starts clapping,
Dick continues to sing and begins to enjoy himself. Vicki tells Harry that being queen
has its perks but it also has its downside; she particularly misses sex. The next day the
BGH shows up while Dick's teaching class and says the Dick is the only thing that
gives his life any meaning. Suddenly Dick can't breathe. Harry takes Janice to a Chinese
restaurant, and she cuts to the chase asking him to be her boyfriend. Harry loves it.
Tommy can't figure out why everyone at school is laughing and ridiculing him about his
Aunt Sally. He also can't understand why Alissa slaps him twice, one for him and
one for Sally. Vicki gives up on being subtle and tells Harry she wants him; Harry says
unfortunately she's married and he has a girlfriend. She couldn't care less about being
married, but the fact remains that Harry's committed to someone else. Dick's going nuts,
because overnight the BGH has become clingy and needy. Dick tells him it's okay to
be his friend, but that doesn't entitle him to stick to Dick like a barnacle. Why is he
fascinated by Dick and why does he have to get so close? Because, says the BGH,
he's Dick's father!
