In the last episode the aliens are in New York, a parallel universe. Dick, unhappy in his career as a high-powered attorney, walked into a dive on forty-eighth street and found the love of his life. Tommy is a big success on Saturday Night Live, while Harry is a network executive. Sally is sleeping with the mayor. Dick has a hard time persuading Kiki (Mary) to let him get her out of the horrible dive where she spends most of her time. He loves her and wants to spoil her. Sally, on the other time, tries to persuade Don to take her somewhere other than Kiki's dive, but Don, who's married, says that isn't possible. Tommy loves being a star and doesn't hesitate to take advantage of his position and be a jerk to his fellow cast members. Dick takes Kiki to his spectacular loft and plies her with champagne and exotic food. Kiki doesn't mince words; if Dick wants to spend money, why doesn't he just give her some. Dick says it isn't money that's important; it's that they love each other. Kiki, who doesn't believe in love, tells Dick he's deluded. Sally wants Don to get a divorce; she needs to be more a part of his life. When Don, who has presidential aspirations, is hesitant, Sally says it's over between them. Harry fires Tommy because he's out of control; his ego's too big, and he wants too much money. Dick's still determined that Kiki has to love him, but she says it's never going to happen. Maybe in another time and another place. Dick, Sally and Tommy are ready to go home, but Harry is having the time of his life. They're ready to carry him away if they have to, but he makes a phone call and learns that he's been replaced by Dubcek.
