Hilton and Griffin go to a basketball game where Hilton learns he has the winning ticket for a contest called "Shot of a Lifetime." All he has to do is shoot a basket from center court at an upcoming game and he'll win a million dollars. Suddenly, everyone starts acting like he's already won the money. Griffin gets angry and insists he deserves part of the million because he bought the tickets to the game, and the Lucases are besieged by a horde of long-lost "friends" and relatives wanting to get in on the easy money. Meanwhile, to Hilton and Ruth's astonishment and pleasure, Erica announces she's taken a job with a law firm. Pauline tells Hilton he should master the art of "visualization" in order to make the shot. Hilton listens to her, but also continues to practice his shooting. The big day comes and Hilton actually makes the shot, but his jubilation is short-lived when it turns out the contest's sponsor is represented by Erica's new firm - and that employees and relatives are not eligible.
