Hilton
attends school to become a security guard, and, when Pauline sees
him with his graduating class, she swears she'll never feel safe
again. She urges Ruthie to stop Hilton before he hurts himself or
someone else. Hilton gets a guard's job at the Balmoral Apartments,
and Charlie, one of the other Balmoral guards, shows him around.
But Charlie, along with his buddy Gus, is planning to rip off the
building during a party for the Yankees the following night. Hilton
won't be a problem, Charlie assures Gus. Most of the tenants treat
him like a doorman, but Hilton tells Ruthie he refuses to quit.
During the Yankees' party, Hilton is so distracted that he's completely
oblivious to the breaking and entering going on in the building,
and it takes Sheldon, one of the tenants, along with Pauline, who
stopped by to drop off some flowers, to call the police and get
the burglar arrested.
