Ruth
has some issues with Hilton that need to be resolved, so they go
to a group therapy session which includes some of Hilton's former
co-workers from the airline. At the end of the session, the group
gathers at a nearby pub where Hilton advises Ron, who's having both
work and marital problems, to demand a raise and stand up to his
wife; therapy's a racket, Hilton says. But when Ron shows up on
Hilton and Ruth's doorstep, needing a home since he's lost his job
and his wife kicked him out, Hilton promises Ruth he'll get rid
of Ron and tells him to apologize to everyone. Ellen, another recipient
of Hilton's common sense psychology, tells Hilton he's ruined her
life. When Ron ends up on a ledge threatening to jump off a building,
Hilton rushes to his side, talks him down and resolves to retire
from his position as amateur therapist.
