Episode #124 "The Return of the Charlites"

Hilton answers an ad and becomes a home-worker, constructing ninety-nine "Bunny in the Hutch" children's toys, even though Griffin insists it's a scam. Ruth's old friend Charlene, now a famous musical star with her group, the Charlites, comes for a visit and she and Ruth reminisce about their early days when Ruth was also a member of the group. When Pauline asks Charlene to perform for a fund-raiser, she agrees only if Ruth will perform with the Charlites. Ruth is willing and excited, though a little nervous, but at rehearsal, she's soon exhausted and discouraged by the killer dance routines she's expected to perform. During the performance, Ruth gets so carried away that Charlene needs to remind her that she is just a back-up singer. By the end of the performance, Charlene is so happy to have Ruth back that she offers her a job with the Charlites. Ruth declines, but it's obvious that she had the time of her life.
