Episode #205 "Two Cents"

Hilton and Griffin are really starting to get on each other's nerves. Griffin's eating habits are sending Hilton's grocery bill through the roof, and Hilton can't seem to stop expressing his opinion whether or not anyone wants to hear it. They decide they will solve the conflict with a bet - Griffin won't eat and Hilton won't sound off for twenty-four hours - and if either man cracks, he has to do heavy yard work for a day. Ruth is annoyed that Hilton and Griffin turn everything into a competition, so she decides to up the ante. She plans a meal for that day featuring all of Griffin's favorite foods and she also invites Donald, a friend of Pauline's who Hilton can't stand, to join them. Erica then takes advantage of her father's closed mouth by announcing she's going to Vegas with boyfriend Julius. Hilton can't make any comments without forfeiting the bet. Ruth thinks Erica's just baiting Hilton, but she's unhappy when she realizes Erica has really gone to Vegas. Hilton finally speaks his mind about the Vegas trip, and just as Griffin is ready to gloat, Hilton offers Griffin a chance to eat and they'll consider it a draw. Griffin can't resist, and later, when Hilton finds Griffin passed out beside the refrigerator, he claims a moral victory for himself.
