Hilton
and Griffin are working at the café when a young female customer,
Elizabeth, accidentally spills coffee on her dress. She’s very upset
because she’s on her way to a job interview, so Hilton graciously
offers to pay for dry-cleaning even though he’s not at fault. Elizabeth
thanks him profusely, but soon afterward Hilton receives notice
that she’s suing him in small claims court for three thousand dollars.
Hilton’s insurance agent advises him to settle out of court, but
Hilton feels that he has his reputation to uphold - and it would
set a bad example for Jurnee, who is already devising insurance
scams of her own. In court, Hilton questions Elizabeth, whose every
answer is a blatant lie, while Griffin proves to be more of a liability
than a star witness. Things are looking bad until Erica reminds
everyone that she is, in fact, a law school graduate, and helps
Hilton demolish Elizabeth’s false charges.
