Hilton
is at a collectibles shop looking for a part for his broken turntable
when he encounters Fred, an old acquaintance from his past. When
he was thirteen, Hilton dated Roberta Singleton, one sister in a
family of nine girls, while Fred was dating her older sister Mattie.
Hilton and Fred exchange stories about the old days, and Hilton
takes him to the café to meet his family. Fred meets Ruth and tells
them about how his own wife passed away five years ago. The two
men speculate on where Mattie and Roberta are today, and Fred remembers
that he ran into their cousin Damon a few years ago and may still
have his number. They have no luck getting the information, but
Griffin manages to find Mattie’s address on the Internet with a
minimum of difficulty. Unfortunately, when Hilton and Fred go to
the address, they find that Mattie has moved. Ruth, Hilton and Fred
finally track Mattie down at her new condo and find that she is
a widow. After a little chat, it’s obvious that there are still
a few sparks between her and Fred. Not only does Hilton feel good
about reuniting the two lovebirds, he even gets a reward when Mattie
agrees to give him her old turntable.
