Hilton and Ruth lend their living room to Erica, Darien, Griffin and some other acquaintances who have planned an intervention to help their friend Teddy, who has a serious cocaine habit. When Teddy arrives, he is at first surprised, then defensive when he learns what his friends have in mind. The friends take turns telling Teddy how concerned they are about him and how his drug habit has hurt not only his life but also the lives of everyone around him. They want him to enter a rehab clinic that night. Teddy makes excuses, accusations and does everything except accept responsibility for his problem. He wants no part of rehab, but lamely suggests that he could attend AA meetings. Sadly, Griffin tells him that nothing short of rehab is good enough, and until Teddy takes responsibility and gets his life back on track, their friendship is over.
