Episode 8815-517 "NO WAY, BABY"

Cliff tracks down the only living relative of his unmarried patient, who is about to deliver her first child. Her grandfather, a 67-year old former boxer named Ray Palomino (guest star Sammy Davis, Jr.) is reluctant to get involved because he's afraid that his secret (an inability to read or write) will be discovered. But thanks to an emotional delivery room meeting with his lovely granddaughter, some prodding from Cliff and a waiting room encounter with a retired English teacher who offers to coach him, the ex-fighter vows to make a "comeback."
