Clair's in Washington on a case and Cliff's in charge - but just barely. Vanessa pulls the wool almost far enough over his eyes to get away with going to a college party. And when Rudy follows Cliff's advice on how to deal with her on-again, off-again friends, she succeeds in alienating all of them. Cliff remains determined to handle the household on his own.
