A
Russian family is huddled around a TV, watching their favorite actress,
Cybill, battle bullies in Island Cop. Rachel comes over to Cybill’s
house with William and a suitcase -- she’s mad at Kevin. Cybill
tells her she has to talk to Kevin, otherwise he won’t know she
has a problem. At the trattoria, Cybill tells Maryann about her
new role in a TV movie with Kenny Rogers. Kevin buys them both salads
-- he wants to talk about Rachel, but decides to let the whole thing
blow over. Cybill takes Maryann and Zoey with her to the soundstage,
only to find out that she’s being replaced and that she parked in
Betty White’s parking space, so Betty White had her car towed. As
a result, Cybill, Maryann and Zoey have to take a cab home. The
cabbie is Marina! One of the Cybill worshipping Russians! An excited
Marina tells Cybill how her family and country love her and invites
Cybill (and her associates) to dinner at her Echo Park home. Cybill
accepts. After meeting Marina’s extended family, Cybill explains
that she is touched, but asks why her. With her family, Marina re-enacts
a scene from Island Cop and tells Cybill it’s been the number one
show in their country for seven years. This confuses Cybill because
they only did six episodes. While Cybill is showing Marina pictures
of her family, she explains to Marina that Rachel and Kevin aren’t
speaking. Marina suggests she interfere. Maryann tips the bottle
with the men and invites them all to live in her big, empty house.
Meanwhile, at Cybill’s house, Rachel tries to help Ira overcome
his fears -- tomatoes, claustrophobia and his phone. After successfully
overcoming these first two fears, Ira calls his publisher and comes
clean about his writer’s block. As a result, he is now expected
to return the advance -- which he has already spent. Upon her return,
Cybill interferes and forces Kevin and Rachel to talk.
