Episode #211 "Mourning Has Broken"

  Cybill decides to start dating her old boyfriend again, David Whittier, Sr. Maryann sees David as a two-faced ambulance chaser, who handled her divorce then began playing golf with the enemy, Dr. Dick. Maryann decides to use her private investigator to dig up a little dirt on David. She interrupts Cybill’s date with the news that David’s wife drowned in a boating accident and David was investigated for the crime. When David takes Ira to a Laker’s game, Maryann and Cybill break into his house to find out if he is a killer. David and Ira return in the middle of the break-in. Cybill tries to play it off like she was breaking in to surprise David for some kinky sex. While Maryann is trying to explain her presence there, Muriel calls, asking where her share of the insurance money is. Cybill (and Ira) break up with David again. Once again, Cybill loses her opportunity to have sex. Zoey goes to Rachel for help when she smashes Cybill’s car. Rachel doesn’t want to get involved. When Zoey threatens to show Kevin some incriminating film of her with an old high school boyfriend, Rachel agrees to help. They go to Mexico to get the repairs done, where Zoey successfully negotiates with the mechanic in Spanish. Later, Cybill discovers a peso and a Bazooka Jose comic in her car and questions the girls. Zoey makes up an excuse. When it appears they are going to get away with the ruse, Cybill wants to know why there is a ’65 grill on her ’64 Dart.
