Episode #214 "Where’s Zoey?"

  Cybill is guest starring as Galaxy Gal on a superheroes show starring Invincigirl. Since they’re supposed to be friends on the show, Invincigirl chums around with Cybill off the show. Ira, on his way to his mother’s house in Ft. Lauderdale, becomes nostalgic and invites Cybill to join him. She declines his invite, besides she’s off to Vancouver to shoot an episode of the show. While Cybill’s on location, Zoey stays with Maryann and soon cons Maryann into dressing her up as an older woman to retrieve Nina from jail, who was incarcerated for setting fire to a cigarette vending machine. When they return, Maryann, unaware of the slammer incident, take the girls out to weld a harp to Dr. Dick’s Benz - a bonding experience. Cybill returns home and rewards Zoey for her good behavior by promising her she can stay alone next time. This carrot is quickly revoked after Cybill gets a call from Nina’s mom. During Cybill’s next trip to Vancouver, Invincigirl learns that Galaxy Gal is really... Toxin Woman, her enemy, thus abruptly terminating their friendship, both in front and behind the cameras. Cybill returns home and learns that Maryann has lost Zoey. First, Cybill and Maryann check Nina’s parents’ home and find Nina’s mom, a scary woman obsessed with Desert Storm, but no Zoey. They then try Cybill’s house and only discover Nina and some boy. Nina gives Cybill and Maryann an address of a party that Zoey is at, but it turns out to be an act of subterfuge -- a church bingo game. An old woman wearing Zoey’s jacket has their next clue, leading Cybill and Maryann to the "Big Freeze," where they find Zoey innocently sharing a sundae with Sean. Zoey states if Cybill ever listened to her she would know why she had to bail Nina out of jail. Instead, she had to trick Cybill into meeting Nina’s mom. Furthermore, Zoey wants to be treated like an adult, and Cybill agrees that when she stops doing childish things, she will be treated like an adult. Content with their relationship, Zoey runs off to save Sean who seems to be painfully dancing with Maryann by the juke box. Meanwhile, Ira brings a hired escort to the ice cream shop to prove that he’s over Cybill and has begun to date intelligent and beautiful woman.
