Episode #322 "The Wedding"

SYNOPSIS:

Cybill and the family (including Ira) are attending the wedding of their neighbor and godson, David. Just before the wedding Cybill learns that "Punchout!", the movie she starred in with Jeff, is going directly to video. She wonders what she will have to brag about at the wedding. During the wedding reception, the mother of the groom (Gretchen) tries to fix Cybill up with a magician. Cybill finds him annoying and is rescued by Ira. Seeing Ira and Cybill interact makes Gretchen wonder why Cybill broke up her family. Nobody defends Cybill and tells the neighbor the breakup was mutual. Cybill tries to deal with this crisis by herself while Ma ryann is out of town. The two are unable to get in touch with each other. While watering plants at Maryann’s, Cybill role-plays and gives advice to herself as Maryann. Ira arrives and apologizes for not coming to her defense. Later, Zoey brings Cybill a piece of cake from the wedding to make amends. Finally, Cybill and Maryann reach each other and are able to share their news together. Maryann takes Richard to Buffalo for the first time to meet her parents. He gets along with them nicely, but Maryann loses it when told she and Richard can’t sleep in the same bedroom. Maryann tries desperately to get in touch with Cybill but they’re unable to connect. During the stay, Richard tells Maryann he loves her for the first time. Zoey takes Justin to the wedding as her date but is fearful of dancing in front of him. He convinces her to be comfortable with herself and let loose on the dance floor. During an episode of really bad dancing she accidentally coldcocks the bride. At first humiliated at spoiling the wedding, Zoey comes to enjoy the feeling or being feared by the wedding guests. Justin is impressed by her as well.
