Episode #404 "Regarding Henry"

 Cybill has another romantic dream about Richard. The next day with Maryann, Cybill is uncomfortable discussing him. It has been three days since Maryann called off her wedding to Richard and she doesn’t know what to tell him because she is confused about her feelings for Dr. Dick. Cybill tries to discourage Maryann’s rekindled feelings for Dr. Dick by reminding Maryann of one of his indiscretions. At home, Ira, Zoey and Justin arrive home from whale watching and Ira discovers their plans to have sex that night. Ira leaves as Maryann enters with her luggage. She and Cybill have decided to have a slumber party to help cheer up Maryann after her difficult breakup with Richard, thus ending Zoey and Justin’s sex plans. In the middle of the night, Cybill is planted in front of the TV, calling a psychic for advice. She’s afraid to go to sleep because she may dream about Richard again, and callout his name. Maryann enters. She too is having trouble sleeping because she feels so awful about Richard. Cybill thinks they should try past life regression. The next day, Cybill goes to Maryann’s house to pick her up for their past life therapy. Maryann decides she doesn’t need a past life to teach her about her problems with men. She knows her problem is Dick and plans to fill his chimney with 300 pounds of day-old calamari. Convinced Maryann is over Dick, Cybill leaves for therapy. As soon as she is gone, Maryann dials Dick… she got the orchids he sent… they’re exactly like the ones he sent her the day he told her he loved her. Cybill’s past life takes place in a 16th century banquet hall. It is a parallel to the real-life situation between Maryann and Dick. After her session, Cybill goes to Maryann’s house to tell her all about what happened in the session. She becomes suspicious that Dick is coming over. Maryann tries to cover as Dick rings the doorbell. Cybill isn’t going to let Maryann make the same terrible mistake she made 400 years ago, so she grabs Maryann’s stun gun and zaps the door handle as Dick tries to open the door.
