Episode #408 "Halloween"

  Cybill, wearing a Glinda, the Good Witch, impaled on the broom of the Wicked Witch costume, is host of a Halloween night pledge drive at KLET, the local public television station. It’s a horror movie marathon and the phones are barely ringing. Dr. Dick watches from his home, and calls in with a large pledge, just to speak to Maryann and win her back. Cybill intercepts the phone call and tells Maryann she wouldn’t have had enough willpower on her to resist Dr. Dick. Maryann agrees. Maryann discovers Zoey in the commissary flirting with a young man named Zack. Maryann finds out Cybill already knew Zoey and Justin had agreed to date other people and cool down their relationship. On-air, Maryann and Cybill bicker over the fact the Cybill did not tell Maryann. Dr. Dick watches from his home and mistakenly believes Cybill and Maryann are arguing about him – that Maryann doesn’t need Cybill to protect her. Cybill’s on-air argument, plus some on-air asking for pledges blunders, results in her being replaced by a beloved seven-foot childhood icon, "Big Duck." Maryann pledges the station fifteen thousand dollars to have Cybill back as host. When Dr. Dick comes to the station to try to win Maryann back, Cybill surprises him by being dressed in Maryann’s Bride of Frankenstein costume. Cybill contends to Dr. Dick that she cannot be sure Maryann no longer has feelings for him. But Cybill does tell Dr. Dick she is sure he was and never will be, right for Maryann.
