Episode #411 "The Golden Years"

  It is the year 2027. Cybill and Ma ryann are a their usual hangout, the holodeck of the country club. Their days consist of nothing but sipping margaritas and staring at the lifeguards in their Speedos. That is, until Cybill re c e i ves a package f rom Zo e y, containing Cy b i l l’s old diary. With a little persuasion, Ma ryann gets Cybill to read a passage from "her scandal ridden tome." Cybill recounts the bad double date they had with two cheap lawyers, Nathan and Mo n t y, in 1997 and then moves on to another memory, the time Zoey played matchmaker. In 1997, Cybill had "accidentally" over heard Zoey telling Justin that she was planning on fixing "her" up with a museum curator. Howe ve r, during a flashback, Cybill learns that it wasn’t "her," Cybill – but "her," Ma ryann – that Zoey wants to fix up. At first, Cybill is h u rt but then admits that Ma ryann is "blah blah blah." Back in 2027, Ma ryann wants to know what "blah blah blah" means. Cybill tries to sidestep the question, but Ma ryann grabs her diary. This is when she learns that Cybill thinks that Ma ryann can’t "surv i ve on her own" and feels that she’s her third daughter. Ma ryann is totally offended, but Cy b i l l explains that Ma ryann is needy and Cybill loves to be needed. T h a t’s why they have such the perfect friendship. St i l l h u rt, Ma ryann states Cybill needs her, too, and that she has always been there to support and defend her. Realizing they a re both right, and old Cybill and old Ma ryann make up. After all, they’re going to be "pals fore ve r," even though they "passed fore ver five years ago. "
