Episode #424 "Ka-Boom!"

  Cybill is still working on the cable talk show, now re-named The Julie and Cybill Sh ow. Zoey is also working there , playing piano. Cybill finds herself attracted to her pro d u c e r, Charlie, but doesn’t want to date him thinking it will mean bad luck. Her love life and her career never go well at the same time. Ma ryann encourages her. Meanwhile, Cybill and Ma ryann go for lunch and Ma ry a n n’s credit card is rejected. She doesn’t worry at first, until she learns Dr. Dick has bribed her business manager and she’s accidentally given Dick power of attorney. Then Ma ryann is hysterical – she has nothing left but her house and the mortgage payments. Cybill and Ma ryann blow up things around Di c k’s house, including his porsche and his boat. Cybill promises that until Ma ryann gets on her feet, Cy b i l l’s great job will take care of them both. Cybill meets with Charlie, pretends it’s not a date, and learns after a passionate kiss, her talk show has been cancelled. During the last taping of The Julie and Cybill Sh ow, Cybill and Julie trade farewell gifts. Julie is ove rcome with emotion and runs off the stage. Cybill gives a farewell speech and invites Ma ryann out onto the stage. Ma ryann shares her gratitude tow a rds Cybill for her support during her troubles with Dick. After the show, a man in a militia suit arrives to speak with Ma ryann. He wants Ma ryann to be the minister of we a p o n ry for his small T h i rd Wo r l d c o u n t ry. Cybill re veals she sent Ma ry a n n’s resume to Soldier of Fo rtune magazine. Ma ryann announces her new job and her new name (Kalimarikinah). As Cybill and Ma ryann go off into the sunset, they are approached by police officers. They are under arrest for the murder of Dr. Dick. Ap p a rently he was in the boat that Cybill and Ma ryann blew up. Ma ryann is upset. Cybill asks for her own lawyer and her own separate cell.
