Episode #313 "Emmet's Secret"

Rick and Grace go to St. Louis for a getaway weekend and leave the kids with Jean, who's on her own because Emmet's going on a fishing trip. Rick and Grace go to a sports bar, which they soon discover is also a gay bar, and are astonished to encounter Emmet and his friend Danny. In response to Grace's direct question, Emmet tells her he is, in fact, gay, but loves Jean and would never leave her. He asks Grace not to disclose his secret. On her return home, a troubled Grace is approached by Jean, who tells Grace that she's sure Emmet doesn't love her anymore and that she suspects he's having an affair. Grace tries to reassure her and says nothing about Emmet's secret life. And when Wade decides to run for city council, Nadine is terrified that some compromising photos that she once posed for will come to light.
