Sean
and Walt are watching a basketball game when Eddie arrives and immediately
begins cheering for the opposing team. Sean's frustrated, because
Eddie always does this just to be contrary. Lily and Claudia are
having girls' weekend in Jersey to visit the outlet malls. Claudia
thought this was important, because she and Lily are no longer as
close as they were when Lily was little. She tells Sean she hopes
the weekend will help things. Lily comes home early claiming that
her mom has ruined her life. They're at the mall trying on clothes,
and things are going pretty well. Lily even confides in her mom
that she hasn't had sex yet. Claudia tries to convince her that,
at fifteen, that isn't a bad thing. Back at the hotel, Lily runs
into two slightly older, cool girls, Mia and Cindy, who are cheerleaders
at her school. Trying to impress them, Lily talks about a practical
joke she played on one of the nuns. Claudia comes by, and Lily blows
her off to hang with Mia and Cindy. Later in Claudia and Lily's
hotel room the three girls are hanging out and talking about guys.
Lily tells them she dated a guy from Rutgers, and they're in awe.
She also says they had sex, which the other two girls think is really
cool. They're talking about the hot room service guy when Claudia
comes in. The room service guy comes back, and Claudia looks at
the girls. She gets it and plays along, asking the guy to check
a light fixture on the ceiling while they all get a good look at
his body. Mia and Cindy love it, but Lily just rolls her eyes. Claudia
goes to the sauna with the girls, and the subject of Lily's college
guy comes up. Claudia not only busts her, but makes a point that
Lily's proud to be a virgin. Lily's mortified and runs out. Lily
takes everything from the hotel room, including all of Claudia's
clothes and leaves a note telling her to drop dead. Claudia has
to drive home in her bathrobe. Back at home, Lily accuses Claudia
of ruining her reputation. Would that be her reputation as a slut,
Claudia asks. Claudia says that what she did was inadvertent, while
Lily's response was malicious. Sean doesn't have much luck trying
to referee this battle. Claudia says she blew it; she wanted them
to have a weekend together and to be friends. Lily wants Claudia
to stop trying to be her friend and try to be her mom.
