Episode #203 "Dream On"

SYNOPSIS:

Walt’s watching the boys, and they’ve brought home cider and apples. When they sample the cider, the boys don’t like it, and Walt realizes that it’s turned. Henry wants to make candy apples. Sean comes in, and he’s been pepper sprayed. Walt asks why he’s here since he’s supposed to be having a romantic getaway with Claudia. Sean’s explanation begins with Claudia’s weird dream. She’s embarrassed to tell Sean that it’s a sexy dream and it’s about herself and Eddie. She thinks it’s hysterical, but he’s not so sure. Henry has come up with the perfect candy apple. He begins dipping anything he can find into the gooey red liquid. Lily and her girlfriend Alison come into the kitchen and see the cider jug on the counter. They chug it and think it tastes wonderful. Sean isn’t happy when Eddie tells him that Claudia’s dream represents every forbidden fantasy she’s ever had that Sean can’t fulfill. Sean thinks Eddie may be right. He and Claudia used to be so outrageous, but that was a long time ago. Jimmy goes into Lily’s room where she and Alison are lying on the bed; they’re extremely tipsy. Jimmy’s in heaven when Alison begins hitting on him. He pours her another glass of cider. A drunk Lily calls Jason, a guy from school, and tells him how hot he is. Sean decides that he has to prove to Claudia that he can be spontaneous. He shows up at the restaurant dressed up and holding flowers. Claudia’s frantically busy, and she’s trying to listen to Sean while dealing with the crowd of people waiting for tables. He points to a limo outside and announces that he’s whisking her away to dinner at The Pierre. He’s forgotten that she has to work late. It’s a lovely idea but Claudia needs him to leave her alone so she can do her job. Sean then notices she isn’t wearing her wedding ring. It’s all about tips, she tells him. Sean’s so frustrated that he grabs her reservation book, storms out of the restaurant and chucks the book into the street. Moments later, Sean feels guilty and looks for the book, but it’s gone. Claudia comes home saying she doesn’t want to fight anymore, because she’s had the worst night of her working life. Sean confesses that he stole her reservation book, and Claudia goes ballistic. Eddie tells Sean that Astor Place is where he should go to retrieve the book. Everything winds up there; it’s like eBay. They spy the book on a blanket on the sidewalk surrounded by toys, tapes and small appliances. Joe, the vendor, is asking five hundred bucks for the book, because it contains Robert DeNiro’s home number. Sean tries to grab the book, but Joe pepper sprays him and takes off. Lily’s mortified when Jason shows up at the Finnerty’s front door, but Jimmy couldn’t be happier, because he got to make out with Alison. And Eddie trails Joe to Union Square and manages to retrieve Claudia’s lost reservation book.
