At the Finnerty house, Lily's freaking out because her DMV appointment is in half an hour, and she can't find her driver's manual. Sean's worried about getting the beer distributor off their backs, and Claudia's going crazy looking for her red sweater. Later Claudia walks in on Jimmy and Henry playing a video game: Aggravated Assault2-City of Blood. It's the game Sister Helen was upset about. Claudia takes one look and shuts them down. The game is disgusting! Lily comes in from her driver's test. She didn't pass; she didn't even come close. Sean says Lily's going to pass or she isn't going to drive. Claudia will just be glad when she doesn't have to drive Lily around anymore. Brad comes in, all set to go for a ride, and finds out that Lily failed-again. Life sucks! Lily's grandpa gave her a cherry red convertible, and she can't even drive it. Henry and Jimmy are playing the banned video game when Claudia comes in. They tell her Sean said it was okay to play it. Eddie tells Lily she made a strategic error. She went to a notoriously hard DMV. She should go to the one in Chinatown; they'll pass anybody. Claudia tells Sean they have to be a united front with the boys, so he lamely tells them they can't play the game. That's not enough. She wants him to really believe what he's saying, so she give him a demonstration of the game. Even Sean's turned off by the violence. Lily tells Claudia she can't understand what happened. She did everything her dad taught her including a perfect "W" turn. A "W" turn? Sure, for where it says "No U turns." Claudia has a word with Sean. He sabotaged Lily! Right, he did, and he's proud of it. He couldn't let her get her license. She's not ready to drive. With a license she can go to concerts and parties with a bunch of drunk, rowdy teenagers, and she'll be completely out of his control. He had no choice. Claudia protests that by teaching Lily to drive incorrectly, Sean's really turning her into a menace. It's a fact of life; teenagers drive. Claudia hears the telltale sound of the banned video game again, but this time the boys are playing with Brad at his house. She goes crazy, and Sean accuses her of overreacting. Overreacting? Sean torpedoes Lily on her driving test. They turn and see that Lily has heard it all. Lily's furious with Sean for what he did. Claudia, Sister Helen and a couple of other moms spearhead an assault on a store that rents the offensive video game. Sean can't believe that Claudia would go to such extremes. It's only a game. But Claudia has a terrible confession. She's hooked and can't stop playing. The game's insidious; it changes how your brain works. Lily and Eddie enter. Lily got her license. Eddie took her to Chinatown. He did what had to be done. Sean grabs Lily's car keys.
She's not driving with a bogus license! Eddie suggests maybe they should just lock their kids up and never let them go out again. No, says Sean, but he and Lily are having more driving lessons starting right now.
