Episode #113 "Christmas"

  When Jamie's Christmas plans with his family fall through, Sarah and Kevin take him with them to visit Sarah's family. Sarah's mother and brothers find Jamie charming, while Kevin can do nothing to please them and they snub him at every opportunity. Sarah tries to convince everyone that Kevin's a great guy, but they're having no part of him, and Kevin tells Sarah that he knows her family hates him. Even Jamie tells Kevin that he's trying too hard and should loosen up. Eventually Sarah is forced to confess that her family's hostility probably stems from the things she told them about him during the time when they'd broken up. Kevin's convinced he has no chance of ever being accepted, and when he runs over Sparky, the family dog, and mistakenly cuts down a tree the family planted on the day of Sarah's birth, he knows he's doomed. Sarah and Kevin quietly leave Jamie behind and return to the apartment to celebrate Christmas alone together.
