Butch offers Charlie a job helping him re-model Pamela's boss Rochelle's kitchen. Charlie grudgingly agrees, and Elizabeth's happy that at last their son's going to get out of the house. Rochelle's a forty-year-old divorcee with two kids. Much to Butch's alarm, Charlie and Rochelle are immediately attracted. The next night Charlie sleeps over; the two can't keep their hands off each other. Pamela's upset; Rochelle's a bitch, and if Charlie dumps her she'll take it out on Pamela. Elizabeth isn't happy either and blames Butch. Charlie's in a lustful daze. He tells everyone tht he and Rochelle are getting married. Butch arranges for Charlie to baby sit Rochelle's two boys. This provides the reality check that Charlie needs, and he resolves to call off the wedding, but at the last minute he can't say the words. The wedding is being held on a riverboat, and Pamela will be the maid of honor. Both Bill and Danny have been practicing blackjack, so this gives them an opportunity to test their skills. Butch and Elizabeth resign themselves to the fact that their son is actually marrying this woman. Charlie asks Bill what made him know that Joan was the right woman for him. Bill says that Joan's a great kisser and she also has a wonderful laugh. Charlie realizes that he's never heard Rochelle laugh. He needs to talk to her, and he drags Butch along so that they'll keep their hands off each other long enough to have a conversation. Rochelle tells Charlie that she doesn't laugh. She has no sense of humor. She doesn't like music either. Charlie realizes that they really don't know anything about each other. He calls off the wedding, and Rochelle's fine with it as long as they can continue having sex.
