Episode #116 "First Date"

Eric asks Donna out to dinner for Valentine's Day, their first date; Donna has plans with Hyde to go to the library that night but accepts Eric's invitation anyway. Eric's thrilled and tells the gang he's going to give Donna his class ring to make things official. Eric tells Red he's taking Donna to the Vineyard, a nice restaurant, and asks to borrow his sportcoat; Red says he should get a new sportcoat so he won't look cheap and dumb in his dad's. Both the Forman's and the Pinciotti's view their children's upcoming date as a very big deal; Eric and Donna are embarrassed as everyone snaps pictures of them as they leave for their date. Fez tries to console Hyde, because he knows Hyde really likes Donna; Hyde says he's not going down without a fight, so he's going to the Vineyard. At the restaurant, Eric orders a beer and donna gets an iced tea, but the waiter brings her a Long Island iced tea, and she becomes very drunk very quickly. Eric has no idea what to do with her, and by the time Hyde arrives to plead his case she starts throwing up. Eric follows Donna to the restroom as Hyde bolts. Later, at the Hub Eric tells Donna he wants to be her boyfriend, and Donna accepts his ring.
