Episode #215 "Red Gets A Job"

A new Pricemart opens in town, and Red goes to interview for a supervisor's position. He's offered a cashier's job on the spot but says he'll wait for the higher position. Eric wants a job too but both parents want him to concentrate of his studies. Hyde says he should stand up and fight and go after a job if he wants one. Kelso's baffled when Laurie says she doesn't want to make out; she just wants to talk, because she's depressed. Kelso patiently listens in hopes he'll eventually score, but Laurie tells him she feels closed to him since they've talked and now she wants a real relationship. When Red doesn't get a call about the supervisor's job, he decides that maybe he made a mistake in turning down the cashier's job. It doesn't help when Eric announces that he's been hired at Pricemart. Laurie has begun pursuing Kelso in hopes of continuing their heart-to-heart talks. Kelso tries to call things off, but Laurie threatens to talk to Jackie. And Red gets his job and says that the first thing he's doing as a supervisor is firing Eric. Eric says he won't back down, so Red relents but threatens to fire Eric for real if his grades go down.
