It's Valentine's Day, and Eric, Donna, Fez and Hyde are playing basketball in the Forman driveway. As Donna heads to the basket, Eric grabs her sweat pants and yanks them down revealing that Donna is wearing ugly, oversized panties. Everyone's horrified, and they immediately begin to kid her about her "granny panties." The gang, minus Donna and Kelso, are in the Forman basement. Caroline brings Fez some conversation hearts, and he's delighted; they have a date that night. Kelso shows up, and Hyde brings up the subject of Donna's panties. Eric warns him to be quiet when Donna gets there; he doesn't need Donna mad at him on Valentine's Day. But when Donna arrives, Hyde and Kelso start teasing her. Eric tells Donna he's really, really sorry; she assures him she's fine, but she'd just wants to forget about it. That afternoon, Kitty's helping Eric with the meal he's preparing for Donna. Eric tells her about the panty incident, and Kitty knows that Eric had better be prepared for a rocky evening. Kelso arrives at the Forman house with a bouquet of flowers for Laurie. He goes up to Laurie's room just in time to see another guy leaving. Kelso's in shock. Donna arrives for dinner, and things are actually going well until clueless Eric gives her new panties as a Valentine present. She storms out. Later, a broken-hearted Kelso tells the guys that Laurie is cheating on him. Hyde reminds Kelso that he was the guy who cheated on Jackie. Fez says that tonight he's going to ask Caroline to go steady with him. When Jackie finds out about Laurie's cheating, she tells Donna she wants to go make mean jokes at Kelso's expense. Donna wants to know why Eric can't understand that when she said she was fine what she meant was that she will be fine as long as he kisses her ass for a couple of weeks. Kitty tells Red that Eric blew it with Donna, and Red decides a little talk is in order. Red tells Eric that fourteen years after the fact, Kitty still remembers that Red accidentally scuffed one of her shoes, and that can't compare with purposely pulling down someone's pants in front of God and everyone. Caroline and Fez are at the movies watching "Play Misty For Me." They're now officially dating. Caroline confides that this is her favorite movie; she's seen it sixteen times. She tells Fez if he ever leaves her she'll kill him. Fez laughs until he realizes that she's not kidding. Kelso tells Jackie that he's been thinking about what happened with Laurie, and he realizes that he deserves this because of what he did to her. And Jackie tells Donna that it's Valentine's Day, and if Donna loves Eric he's the one she should be with.
