Episode #316 "Romantic Weekend"

Eric and Donna lie to their parents about their plans and sneak away to the Wisconsin Dells for a romantic weekend. Kelso tells the guys that he was making out with Pam Macy, as usual, when he was shocked to discover that he couldn't perform. The guys kid him, but he protests that it isn't funny; it's his worst nightmare. Kelso has a fantasy that he's Major Nelson from "I Dream of Jeannie" and Jackie is Jeannie. In the dream, Jackie takes care of his impotence problem, and he wakes up and calls Pam telling her that all's well. Kitty tells Red that since they're alone for the weekend, it might be a nice opportunity for a little romance. Red suggests that he cook dinner, but that's clearly not what Kitty had in mind. Donna and Eric love everything in their upscale hotel room from the mini bar to the miniature soap and shampoo. Kelso tries again with Pam and once again strikes out. A pissed off Pam says she's going to tell everybody. Donna and Eric are hanging out in their room playing music and getting a little drunk. The guy next door keeps pounding on the wall, and each time Donna pounds back. He then pounds on the door, which Eric eventually opens to find Red standing in the hallway. It's a toss-up who is more surprised. Red will pretend for Kitty's sake that he never saw Eric, but Eric can prepare himself for an ass-kicking on Monday. Donna starts thinking about herown dad being out of work and starts to feel sad. Eric suggest they have sex to cheer her up, and she slaps him. Pam Macy makes an announcement in gym about Kelso's problem, and Jackie feels genuinely sorry for him. Red tells Kitty that he's taken care of their neighbors and now he has a surprise for her. There's a knock at the door, and red opens it expecting room service, but it's Donna. Kitty's really upset that Red didn't tell her the truth about their neighbors; she kicks him out, and he goes and takes over Eric's bed and makes Eric sleep on the loveseat. When room service arrives with champagne and flowers, Kitty cheers up and goes looking for Red. Jackie consoles Kelso telling him that when he finds the girl he's meant to be with, he won't have any problems. They hug, and Kelso realizes that once again his problem is gone. Kitty shows up, and Red kicks Eric out of his own room. He goes to find Donna, and she's passed out. Bob and Midge arrive with the room service waiter who reluctantly opens the door to Eric's room for them. They storm in much to the surprise of Red and Kitty. The next day in the Forman basement, Eric and Donna make up as Eric shines Red's shoes. And Kelso has another fantasy, but this time Major Jackie tells Genie Kelso they're just going to be friends.
