Episode #403 "Pinciotti v. Forman"

SYNOPSIS:

When Donna shows up in Eric's basement to hang out just as if nothing has happened, Eric tells her he doesn't think it's cool for her to be there. If he's kicking Donna out, Jackie says she's going too. Later, Donna tells Jackie that it's not fair that all their friends stay with Eric just because he has a stupid, crappy basement. Jackie agrees and advises Donna to fight back. Kitty's thrilled when Pastor Dave stops by and wants to spend some time with Red; Red has a friend! Donna lures the gang over to her house with the promise of cable TV with the potential for flashes of brief nudity. Eric's wondering where his friends have gone when Kelso arrives with tales of cable, Popsicles and corndogs. Red and Pastor Dave have a fine time talking about guy stuff, but it seems weird to Kitty that they don't talk about anything personal. Kitty thinks that Red must not like Dave; he's never been good at keeping friends, and it looks as if he's about to lose this one. Eric goes over to Donna's house, but she makes it clear that she doesn't want him around. Eric leaves but no one follows because they're too engrossed in the cable TV. Eric ruins everyone's fun by encouraging Bob to "entertain" the kids with some of his long and boring jokes. Before too long the whole gang, minus Donna, are back in Eric's basement. Donna's angry that Eric played such a dirty trick. After some discussion, it's agreed that they'll share their friends; Donna even suggests that they make up a schedule. Kitty decides to take matters into her own hands and tells Dave how much Red values his friendship; she gushes on and on until both Dave and Red are mortified and Dave wants to leave as quickly as possible. Red assures Dave that Kitty's nuts; he just wants to watch the fight without saying a word. Dave's all for it. And when Eric arrives back late after an outing with his friends, an angry Donna is waiting. Donna and Eric start fighting, and they sound like a divorced couple fighting their kids. Jackie announces that she's had it. Until Eric and Donna get things sorted out neither of them is going to see her. Everyone agrees. Donna tells Eric it's all his fault for kicking her out of his basement, but Eric says that Donna seemed so cavalier about their break-up that it really bothered him. Donna confesses that she's been miserable. They agree to hang out together and pretend to be fine for the sake of their friends.
