Red’s been chosen to make a Pricemart departmental training film, and Eric’s shocked and upset when Red wants Kelso to play the stockboy. Kitty comments that Kelso has great bone structure, but Eric points out it makes no sense, because he actually is a Pricemart stockboy. Kelso regards this opportunity as the beginning of the film career that he has always dreamed of. Hyde sees it as a great burn on Eric. Eric’s world is further disrupted when he learns that Kitty and Donna have lunch plans. Leo tells Hyde and Fez that he’s just inherited a million bucks from a dead uncle. He’ll buy them whatever they want. Jackie’s looking for Donna who has agreed to help Jackie organize her cosmetics; she’s surprised and unhappy when she finds Donna and Kitty baking in the Forman kitchen. Eric tells Hyde that he’s paranoid that Donna and his mom are discussing him when they’re together. Kelso’s trying to decide which great actor he should model himself after for the training film; when he chooses Travolta, Hyde says that acting like Travolta in the film would definitely impress Red. When the filming starts, Kelso goes into his Travolta routine, and Red thinks he’s a moron. Eric imagines that Kitty’s showing Donna his naked baby pictures and countless other embarrassing things; when he accuses Kitty, she hotly informs him that she can be friends with anyone she damn well pleases. Later, however, Kitty tells Eric that if her friendship with Donna is really bothering him, she’ll call it off. Eric says maybe some of her loyalty might rub off on Red. Kitty, trying to console him, says that Michael may have movie star good looks, but Eric’s smarter. Newly rich Leo takes Fez and Hyde on an insane shopping spree that ends with Fez buying a cockatoo. When Kelso demands a love interest in the training film, Eric thinks that may be the end, but Red insists that he’s sticking Kelso, even though he’s an idiot. Kitty tries to break off her friendship with Donna, but she can’t do it; she’s too sorry for her. The bubble bursts for Leo when Hyde and Fez discover that his “rich uncle” is Ed McMahon and the letter about his inheritance is junk mail from Publishers’ Clearing House. Kelso’s performance on the film gets so out of control that Red has no choice but to fire him and cast Eric in the role of stockboy.
Red’s forced to admit that Eric’s performance is perfect. And Eric tells Kitty and Donna that he has no problem with their friendship as long as they don’t talk about him.
