Episode #410 "Red and Stacey"

SYNOPSIS:

Eric’s on his own, because the other three guys have dates. He can’t even hang out at home, because Red and Kitty would like a little privacy. Fez picks Big Rhonda up at the station when she comes back from Mississippi and asks her to go out with him Saturday night. Rhonda’s nervous; she’s never been on a real date before. Donna volunteers herself and Jackie to help Rhonda get ready. Red suggests that Eric invite Stacey, the cute new cashier at Pricemart, out on a date. Red even says he’ll speak to Stacey on Eric’s behalf, but Eric says that won’t be necessary. Red figures that means that no one will talk to her. The guys have come over to Pricemart to check out Stacey. They all agree that Eric has to go for it, but he hesitates and Red says he’ll talk to Stacey. Somebody has to do it. In the Forman basement, Donna and Jackie go to work on Rhonda. When Red tells Stacey that she should go out with his son, Stacey tells him that she kinda likes someone else. Red gives Eric the bad news about Stacey, and Kitty notices that he’s blushing. She immediately gets it that Stacey has a crush on Red and begins teasing him unmercifully. Eric, who still doesn’t get it, asks Stacey out to dinner the next night; she agrees but insists that they eat at his house. At last it dawns on him that it’s his dad that Stacey’s interested in. Jackie and Donna have their work cut out for them with Rhonda; she’s just not the fluffy feminine type. Donna wishes Jackie wouldn’t be so insensitive about their project, but Jackie protests she can’t send Rhonda off on her date looking like Sasquatch. When Eric tells the guys about Stacey, Hyde says she likes Red because he’s so tough while Eric is way too soft. Red has a fantasy that he’s being stalked by Stacey, who now looks like a ghoulish zombie. He comes back to reality and assures Kitty that even though he’s bound to attract some attention from time to time, he would never be unfaithful. Kitty’s very understanding. After all, who could blame Stacey for finding Red fascinating? When Fez sees the “new and improved” Rhonda, he’s amazed; he hardly recognizes her. But when she refuses to participate in a hot dog eating contest, because it isn’t lady-like, Fez wants the old Rhonda back.
