Episode #421 "Prank Day"

SYNOPSIS:

Kelso pulls pranks on Eric, Hyde and Fez and informs them that it’s Prank Day. He just invented it. The first pranks are relatively harmless, but when the three guys get Super Glued, they promise revenge. Jackie and Donna are at The Hub. Donna’s a little down, because today’s would have been her parents’ anniversary, but her mom’s gone. Jackie, actually sympathetic for a change, says she’s going to dedicate her whole day to Donna. The guys whip up massive amounts of oatmeal to put in a bucket and pour on Kelso. They tell Kitty that they’re donating it to charity. Jackie shows up at Donna’s, and she’s ready for their slumber party. Donna confesses that she really didn’t take Jackie’s offer seriously, and now she’s in the middle of a really good book. Jackie won’t take no for an answer. She’s going to give Donna a facial, then they’ll play the Mystery Date board game and finally they’ll use Jackie’s stuffed animals for an all-unicorn rendition of “Grease.” Donna isn’t sure if she’s ready. The guys are in position to nail Kelso with the oatmeal, but it’s a furious Red who gets nailed. Red’s really upset with the guys, but when he sees Kelso laughing at him, that makes him even more upset. Red promises the guys that a terrible punishment is in their future. In Donna’s room, Jackie is giving Donna a makeover. Leo has joined them, and he’s wearing a mudpack. Red asks Eric what the guys were thinking when they played the oatmeal prank. Eric explains that they were only trying to get back at Kelso for the Super Glue. Red says that Eric’s being bested by a Kelso lets the Forman family down. There’s honor at stake here. Instead of punishing Eric, Red’s going to teach him a little bit about pranks and then he’ll punish him. Red tells Eric to get the other three guys over for dinner that night; Eric can help Red get the guys good and scared. At dinner, Red tells the guys he’s going to get them, but they won’t know where or when. He’ll make them cry. He tells them to go ahead and eat; he’s make a special seasoning for the lasagna. Then Red says he cleaned all the dead moths out the porch light that day. Kitty can’t understand why nobody is eating. Kelso comes looking for Jackie at Donna’s; he needs her to hang out with him, because he’s afraid to be alone. After only a slight hesitation, Jackie takes off with Kelso in spite of her promise to Donna. Eric, elated, tells Red that they really did freak the guys out. Now, says Red, it’s time to go after Kelso. Jackie returns to Donna’s and finds her alone. Jackie left the mall to come back to Donna. Donna needs a girl in her life to look after her, and that’s going to be Jackie. Red, with the help of Eric, Hyde and Fez has iced down the Forman driveway with a hose. They’re hoping to make Kelso slide on the ice into a giant mud puddle, but Kitty gets there first and falls down and hurts her ankle. Red grounds Eric and apologizes to Kitty, promising no more pranks ever. Eric later learns that Kitty was only pretending to be hurt to teach Red a lesson. Eric congratulates his mom for “outpranking” the master.
