Episode #427 "Love Wisconsin Style"

SYNOPSIS:

When Eric and Kitty, who have been to the dentist, encounter Donna and Casey at The Hub on a school day and Donna is not only cutting class but clearly drunk, Eric's elated that Casey will finally be exposed as the bad influence he is. Eric tells the guys that his mom is telling Bob about Donna as they speak, and it's going to be great for Eric, because Donna being busted will make her realize what a jerk Casey is. She'll dump him for sure, and Eric will be waiting with open arms. Jackie tells Kelso that since their problems started when she kissed a guy, maybe they can be resolved if she allows Michael to kiss a girl. When Bob and Joanne confront Donna, she's rebellious. She'll do what she wants, and Joanne isn't her mother, so she can stay out of it. Kelso's worried when Jackie says she'll pick the girl he can kiss; what if she picks someone ugly. With Red and Kitty there for moral support, Bob tells Donna she's grounded. She's not going anywhere with Casey, who has come by to pick her up. Bob's making no headway, so Red takes things into his own hands, summoning everyone into the living room. Red chastises Donna for skipping school and showing no respect for her father. Red reads Casey the riot act, and Bob chimes in that Donna and Casey are finished. Donna's astonished when Casey agrees. It's too big of a hassle, Casey tells her. They should call it a day. When Donna reminds him that he said he loved her, Casey says he has a thing with saying stuff he doesn't really mean. Eric tells Donna he's sorry about what happened, but Donna's not buying it. Eric got exactly what he wanted. But later that day Donna comes to see Eric and tells him how stupid she's been. She kisses Eric and tells him that they should be together. They should forget all the other stuff ever happened. This time Eric's not buying it. He can't be her second choice. When they can't come to an agreement on who Kelso should kiss, Jackie relents and says he can kiss anyone he wants. Kelso kisses Jackie. He chooses her, he tells her. Jackie says she can't deal with the ups and downs of their relationship anymore. Kelso should really choose her. They should get married. Kelso repeats this as a question, "You want to get married?" And Jackie joyfully accepts. Michael has no idea what hit him. Red and Kitty both tell Eric he's a dumbass for not taking Donna back. Eric says he isn't a rebound. Casey was the rebound, Kitty points out. Eric's just so darn stupid, Kitty tells Red. Eric feels terrible. He loves Donna, but he always screws things up. Why does everything have to be his way? That's why they broke up in the first place. He goes off to find Donna and tell her how he feels. Kelso runs into Donna in The Hub parking lot; Donna's carrying a suitcase. She's off to the bus station to travel to California to see her mom. Kelso tells her that Jackie wants to get married, but if he isn't here it can't happen. He'll drive, and they'll both go to California.
