Episode #502 "I Can't Quit You Baby"

Eric's trip to California has landed him in big trouble with Red and Kitty, though Kitty confesses it was one of the most romantic things she's ever heard of. Eric tries to disarm them by admitting that his actions were selfish and immature, but Red isn't buying it, and he makes Eric hand over the keys to the Vista Cruiser. Bob informs Donna that he's enrolled her in Catholic school at Our Lady of Perpetual Sorrow. Jackie and Hyde are making out in the Forman basement when Fez walks in on them. They quickly recover, and he doesn't catch on, but it was a close call. Later, the gang's assembled in the basement when Kelso tells Jackie that they need to talk. Kelso's sure she's devastated over losing her, but Jackie assures him that she's absolutely fine. Eric's unhappy that without the Vista Cruiser he can't drive Donna to school. When Hyde gets up to leave, Jackie makes an excuse and leaves too. Donna asks Eric what they're going to do. Being separated will ruin their senior year. Eric says they'll think of something. Later, as Jackie is getting rid of all her mementoes of Michael, Donna says she can't even think about changing schools. But Jackie assures her that the nuns will love her; they dress frumpy and don't wear makeup either. Eric visits Bob to plead Donna's case; he vows to fight Bob's decision, but Donna comes in wearing her school uniform, and Eric's blown away. Later, Eric and Donna are freaked out when they walk in on another of Hyde and Jackie's make-out sessions. Hyde and Jackie try to explain that this just a meaningless fling. Fez comes in and joins Hyde in registering approval of Donna's uniform. Donna tells Fez what she and Eric just discovered, and Fez says it's impossible; Jackie and Hyde hate each other. In separate flashbacks, Jackie and Hyde tell their versions of how they got together. They disagree on who made the first move, but are in agreement as they tell Donna that Hyde isn't Jackie's boyfriend. The next day, when Eric wants to drive Donna to school, Kitty relents and gives him the car keys, but Red walks in and Eric's out of luck. Red begins a lengthy lecture, but Eric catches a glimpse of Donna in her uniform and doesn't hear a word Red's saying. Later, back in the basement, Eric and Donna confront Hyde and Jackie. It's clear that they actually care about each other, but they're quick to deny it. Donna says Jackie has to tell Kelso, otherwise she and Eric will. Jackie says she and Hyde will break it off now, and Kelso never has to know. But when Eric and Donna leave, she and Hyde kiss and say they'll do what they want. And Eric solves the transportation problem by pedaling Donna to school on his bike.
