Episode #509 "Black Dog"

Jackie's pressuring Hyde to shave his beard. It's like making out with a bath mat. Kitty comes in a tells Jackie she's needed at home; Red will drive her. Jackie exits and Kitty confides that Jackie's dad, a city councilman, has just been arrested for bribery. Kelso thinks that Jackie, needing a shoulder to cry on, will come running back to him. Hyde reminds Kelso that he and Jackie are together now. When Jackie comes back, she blows right past Kelso and hugs Hyde, asking what she going to do now that her dad's in prison. Hyde has no idea. Maybe he should bake a cake with a file in it. Jackie starts to say something but changes her mind. Later, Hyde tells Kitty he knows Jackie wanted him to say something comforting, but he couldn't think of anything. Eric and Donna have opposite advice for Hyde. Donna says he should go to Jackie, while Eric urges him to give her some space. At his new job at the DMV, Fez is being taught by Nina how to fingerprint. They begin making out, but Nina quickly breaks it off and leaves the room. She's sorry, she just can't, and no one can know about this. Red attempts to console Jackie about her dad, but she's okay. In America, she reminds him, the rich are treated differently. What she needs is advice about an insensitive boyfriend. That's not Red's department, he tells her. Kelso confronts Hyde about Jackie, and Hyde tells him to get over it; Jackie's his girlfriend now. Kelso's so upset that he accidentally shoots Hyde in the eye with a BB gun. Hyde tells Eric and Donna he's going to milk the eye thing and make Kelso miserable. Fez is miserable too, he announces. Nina stopped their making out, and now he's in pain. Kelso comes in with a burger and fries and offers them to Hyde who's now wearing an eye patch. Hyde says Kelso shot him accidentally on purpose. Later, Kelso tells Hyde to go ahead and shoot him. That will even the score. Hyde flips up his eye patch to aim, and Kelso realizes that Hyde's eye is fine. Hyde shaves his beard in an effort to make Jackie feel better. She's overjoyed. Donna observes to Eric that the problem wasn't about more or less space; it was about facial hair.
