Episode #512 "When the Levee Breaks (Eric and Donna Play House)"

When Bob and Joanne announce that they're going to tennis camp for the weekend, Kelso says it's time for a party at Donna's, but Donna says she and Eric want to spend a quiet weekend alone together. She'd even wear her engagement ring, but Eric's having it re-sized. Eric tells Red and Kitty that he'll be spending the weekend at Fez's house. Hyde's jacket has a hole in it, and Kitty tells him she's taking him shopping for a new coat. Kitty intercepts a call from the jewelry store meant for Eric and jumps to the conclusion that Red has bought her a ring. Just when Eric and Donna think they're alone at last, the gang shows up for a party, but Eric and Donna escort them out. This is their test run to see what it'll be like when they're married, and nothing's going to ruin it. The whole point of the weekend, says Eric, is to prove they're grown-ups and that Red's wrong when he says Eric's immature. Donna makes "Chicken Pinciotti" for their first dinner; it isn't great, but Eric gamely eats it and smiles. Kitty, accompanied by Hyde who's wearing a shiny red "Stuntman" jacket, are at the jewelry store. Hyde tells Kitty that he's not sure the jacket is his style. She asks to see the ring that the jeweler called about. She sees the inscription, "To Donna with love," and realizes that Eric's engaged. Hyde shows up a Donna's to tell the lovebirds that Kitty knows their secret, but they make fun of his jacket and he takes off without telling them. Later, in the Forman kitchen, Kitty's with Hyde and Jackie. She tells them that Eric's too young to be engaged, and besides she doesn't like secret keeping in her house. Later that night, the gang, minus Eric and Donna, are hanging out in the Forman basement. Red comes down and sees Fez. He tells Fez that he thought Fez and Eric were together. Fez tries to cover but blurts out that Eric's staying at Donna's. Donna's chicken didn't agree with Eric, and he's squeamish about going to the bathroom too close to Donna. He first goes to Kelso's but ends up at home in search of a free bathroom. Red, upset that Eric lied to him, refuses to let him in. Eric races back to Donna's with no time to spare. The next morning, Red tells Eric that he's still an immature pissant who lies to his parents. Red should kick him in the ass. Eric comes clean and tells them that he and Donna are engaged. If he's ready to be married, he should be ready to tell the truth!
