Episode #519 "Bring It On Home (Jackie's in the House)"

Asleep in bed, Red and Kitty are jolted awake by a loud noise. Is it a burglar or Eric trying to sneak out? But Eric's in the hallway naked, wrapped in a sheet. He heard it too. They go to the basement to check on Hyde and find him in bed with Jackie. Jackie, it's discovered, has been staying there for a couple of weeks; her dad's in jail, and her mom still hasn't come back. Jackie insists that everything's fine; she'll just go home, but Hyde won't let her stay in an empty house. Red says she can sleep in Laurie's room tonight, and tomorrow they'll track down her floozy mother. The next day, Donna tells Jackie how sorry she is that her parents are gone, but Jackie insists that everyone needs to stop worrying about her. Later that day Fez tells Eric and Kelso he doesn't know what's going on with Nina. He keeps asking to meet her parents, and she keeps making excuses. Donna tells her dad that they need to find Jackie a place to stay, so she won't be all alone. But when Bob suggests that Jackie stay with Donna in her room, Donna changes her tune. Fez is thrilled when Nina finally agrees to let him meet her parents. Kelso volunteers to make Fez beautiful, so Nina's parents won't realize how weird he is. Donna grudgingly invites Jackie to come and stay with her, but Jackie refuses. Donna's not popular enough for her to live with, Jackie explains. At dinner at Nina's, her parents are charming until they realize that Fez is Nina's boyfriend. Fez can't be her boyfriend, they protest. He's so-different! In other words, not white, says Fez as he exits. Hyde tells Donna that Jackie turned her down, because Donna didn't ask her properly. Jackie doesn't want to be pitied. It would be really cool if Donna could ask her in a way that doesn't make her feel bad. Dona relents and tells Jackie she is, in fact, unpopular and wants Jackie around so she can become more like her. Satisfied, Jackie accepts. Her first advice is that Donna break up with Eric. Fez tells Kelso that he's been called a lot of names since coming to this country but he's never been treated like he was at Nina's. Nina enters, and Fez tells her their relationship is over. His self-respect demands it. But Nina says that her parents are jerks and she wants to get back at them by doing it with Fez on her parents' bed. It works for Fez!
