Episode #614 "Baby Don't You Do It"

SYNOPSIS:

After the pregnancy scare, the parents decide that Eric and Donna need pre-marital counseling at church. Eric and Donna aren’t happy when they learn that it was Hyde’s suggestion. Later, Donna admits that counseling may help her and Eric work through some of their “issues.” Eric wasn’t aware that they had issues. Hyde, Fez and Jackie are in the Forman basement when Kelso comes in. He got another “D” on a Police Academy test, his fourth in a row. Brooke comes in, and Kelso tells her he got a “B.” Brooke is so proud of him. She exits, and Jackie asks why Kelso lied about his grade. Some people bring flowers, he explains, but he lies about his intelligence. It’s not working romantically though. No way, says Jackie. Brooke’s really into him. Later, Jackie and Donna are talking in Donna’s bedroom. Donna’s excited about marriage counseling. She wants her marriage to Eric to be magical. Then marry someone besides Eric, Jackie suggests. In the basement, Eric tells Hyde he doesn’t want counseling. Ever since they got engaged, Donna’s been treating him like a child. Kelso comes in brandishing a flare gun. They’re perfectly safe, he says, as a wicked bright light erupts next to Fez. The next day, at counseling with Pastor Dan, Donna says they have a few issues, such as Eric sometimes talking too much about Star Wars. Pastor Dan announces that Star Wars is the greatest movie of all time. Donna observes that they’re racing toward the wedding and not enjoying it as much as maybe they could be. Pastor Dan asks Donna what excites her about marriage. Nothing, says Donna. What about having sex? They’re not about to admit that they’ve already done that. Later, in the Forman basement, Hyde, Fez and Jackie are watching TV coverage of a fire at the Police Academy. They think of Kelso and his flare gun. Jackie’s afraid that he’s burned down the Academy. Kelso enters. If anyone asks, he’s been here all day. He admits that he accidentally torched the Academy. At church the next day, Pastor Dan preaches on the subject of loose morals. He introduces Eric and Donna as a young engaged couple who are still virgins. They’re going to hell for sure, thinks Eric. The gang finds out that Kelso hasn’t told Brooke about his role in the Police Academy fire. You can’t start a relationship based on a huge lie, Jackie tells him. Eric and Donna go to Pastor Dan’s office to tell him the truth. Eric’s sure they’re condemned to hell. Pastor says they’re probably not going to hell, but they’ve deprived themselves of the opportunity to give each other the gift of themselves when they enter into marriage. Kelso confesses to Brooke that he burned down the Police Academy. She admits that she hasn’t let herself get close to him, because she wasn’t sure that she could trust him. Now she’s relieved, because she knew he started the fire. Now she’s sure she can really trust him. And Donna tells Eric that if they want their wedding to be special, they shouldn’t have sex anymore until they’re married.
