Jackie’s surprised when Bob tells her that her mom called last Thursday. Jackie thinks that’s weird, since her mom’s in Mexico and they don’t have phones there. If she calls back, says Jackie, tell her I don’t want to see her. Too bad, says Bob, because he just picked her up at the airport. Beautiful and tan, Pamela Burkhart comes up the driveway. Eric’s blown away. She’s gorgeous! Hyde tells her he’s dating her daughter. Kelso and Fez say their hellos. They’re dazzled too. It got rainy in Cabo, so she hopped a plane, Pamela explains. And she missed Jackie. Well, I didn’t miss you, says Jackie, and she runs off, upset. Later, Jackie is talking to Red and Kitty. Why’d her mom have to go to Mexico and drink all day when she could have done it at home like Kitty? Since the Police Academy in Point Place is gone, Kelso’s being sent to the one in Waukegan. Hyde’s going to drive him. Eric comes in with some bottle rockets. Hyde suggests to Eric and Fez that they drop Kelso off at the Academy and scare some cows on the way home. Pamela goes to see Red and Kitty. She hopes she and Jackie can figure out a way to get along. Eric, Donna and Jackie come in, and Pamela gives Jackie a little bag of hair clips that she bought on the beach in Cozumel. She tells Jackie that when Jackie’s dad got in trouble, she panicked, but that doesn’t mean she stopped caring about Jackie. Jackie says she wishes she could have heard that the day her dad went to prison and not via postcard from La Cantina Cucaracha. Pamela swears that she’ll never leave Jackie again. The next day, the guys are in Kelso’s room when he announces that he’s decided he doesn’t want to be a cop. He doesn’t want to leave Brooke when things are going so well and also he doesn’t look good in blue. The guys think he should reconsider. Later, Jackie tells Donna that her mom’s just hanging around here until she finds a new meal ticket. Donna doesn’t believe it. Pamela came here to be with Jackie. Just then Bob comes in and tells them that he and Pam are going to the movies. Astounded, the girls watch them go. Jackie says that Bob’s cheesy. The girls face off. Donna tells Jackie she’d better talk to her mom. And you’d better talk to your dad, Jackie tells Donna. Kelso hides from the guys when it’s time to leave for the Police Academy, but they find him in the closet. Donna comes into the Forman living room with Bob and asks Red to talk some sense into him. Bob says that Pam’s just what he’s looking for. Kitty asks Bob how he can go out with Pam when it’s clearly upsetting Donna. Later, Eric tells Fez he can’t believe Donna’s serious about this celibacy thing. Hyde escorts Kelso up the driveway. He tried to get away again, and Hyde had to stun gun him. Kelso confesses he’s worried about making friends at his new school. The guys reassure him. He’s Michael Kelso; he’s bulletproof! The next day, Donna and Jackie are very cool to each other. But they go ballistic when they find Bob and Pam soaking in the hot tub he just bought and realize they have to join together to break up their parents.
