Episode #616 "Man With Money"

SYNOPSIS:

Red and Kitty are throwing a cocktail party, and Red’s actually in a good mood. Kitty says it’s because Bob’s bringing his pretty new girlfriend over. Donna tells Jackie that their parents’ dating goes against all laws of nature. Jackie’s had it with them too. Bob and Pamela arrive, and both Pamela and Kitty have something snide to say about the other. Eric comes in wearing a suit with his hair neatly combed. Hyde enters, also looking well groomed. This is all for Pamela. The doorbell rings, and Kitty opens the door. Kelso brushes past her. What’s she wearing, he asks. The party is in full swing, and Pamela has never looked better. Hyde can’t believe he’s saying it, but he’d like to be Bob. Jackie tells Donna that they have to break up Bob and Pamela. She’s been bad-mouthing the Pinciottis for years; she can’t be one. Later that night, the gang has been banished from the party and are hanging out in the basement. Eric got a little too friendly with Pamela, and things went downhill from there. The next morning, after a trip to the doctor, Red comes home with a heart monitor strapped to his wrist. He feels like a damn robot. In the Pinciotti back yard, Eric and Hyde are hanging out, and Kelso is in the hot tub. Bob enters, followed by Donna and Jackie. They’re telling Bob that he has to break up with Pamela. Bob asks the guys for their opinion. Keep her, they all agree. Pamela comes in, and Jackie tells her she has to dump Bob. Pamela says she needs Bob; he makes her feel good about herself. Later, Red and Kitty are in the kitchen when Pamela and Bob come in. Red’s heart monitor beeps the minute Pamela says hello. Later that afternoon, Red tries to convince Kitty that it was her lasagna, not Pamela, that caused the beep. But he sees Pamela in the hot tub with Bob, and the beeping starts again. At the Hub, Donna tells Eric she can’t believe he said her dad should stay with Pamela. Jackie jumps in and tells Hyde that he’s sick and no help at all. Jackie wonders what would happen if a hotter guy came along. Pamela might fall for him. Jackie says her mom has a weakness for young dark-skinned guys. They all look at Fez. Red and Kitty are back in the kitchen when Pamela and Bob come in. Red’s monitor beeps when Bob starts talking. Red says it’s Bob, not Pamela, who sets off the monitor, because he’s annoying. Kitty actually buys it. In the Pinciotti back yard, Fez, wearing a tank top, flirts outrageously with Pamela. Annoyed, she yells for Bob. In the basement, the gang’s waiting to learn if Fez has had any success with Pamela. Bob comes in holding Fez by the scruff of the neck. He demands to know if they told Fez to make a move on Pamela. Donna apologizes. It was the only think they could think of to prove that Pamela might not really care about him. Well she does care, says Bob, and they’d better accept it. Donna wants to talk more about it, but Bob refuses. He doesn’t want to hear another word about it.
