Episode #625 "The Seeker"

SYNOPSIS:

625  The Seeker

 o:p>

The gang, minus Eric and Donna, are in the Forman basement.  Jackie says Donna is on her way over, and she wants some answers about Eric.  Fez is elected to give Donna the news.  Donna arrives, and she’s steamed.  Why did Eric do this to her?  Fez tells her that Eric was afraid that getting married and staying in Point Place was a bad idea, because Donna would have to give up her dreams of traveling the world.  That evening, Donna and Hyde are sitting on the water tower platform talking about Eric.  Donna shoves Hyde playfully, and he falls off the water tower.  Later that evening, the gang, minus Eric, are in Hyde’s hospital room. Donna apologizes.  She doesn’t know her own strength.  Kitty comes in and observes that Hyde has the thinnest file she’s ever seen.  There are records from the day he was born, and that’s all.  The next morning, Donna, Kelso, Fez and Hyde are in the Pinciotti kitchen when Midge arrives.  She and Donna hug.  Donna sounded so sad on the phone that Midge just had to come.  The three guys are delighted to see Midge, as always.  In the Forman kitchen, Kitty tells Red that she found something very interesting in Hyde’s file.  Steven’s father is not the man that Steven thinks is his father.  Maybe Steven’s real father is nice—and sober!  Back at the Pinciottis, Bob and Pamela come in a see Midge.  Immediately, the two women get catty with each other.  Midge will be staying with them, Donna announces.  Bob’s confused.  Who is he sleeping with?  That night, Kitty tells Hyde that his real father’s name is William Barnett, and he lives in Milwaukee.  Kitty thinks Hyde will be excited about this news, but Hyde says he doesn’t really care.  Kitty thinks maybe they should drive to Milwaukee and check this guy out.  The next morning, in the Pinciotti kitchen, Bob sits between the two women as they all eat breakfast.  He’s a little flustered by the way the women are competing for his attention.  Donna’s flustered too.  She got left at the altar, but Bob seems to be the center of attention.  At the Formans, Hyde comes into the kitchen dressed in a suit and tells Kitty, Red and Jackie that he thinks he’ll go to Milwaukee.  They can come along.  Back at the Pinciottis,  Midge tells Donna to forgive Eric.  If Donna loves him and doesn’t want to be without him, she has to forgive him.  In Milwaukee, at Mr. Barnett’s office, when the receptionist tells Red, Kitty, Jackie and Hyde that Mr. Barnett will see them now, Hyde walks out.  That night, Donna’s asleep when Eric comes in through Donna’s bedroom window.  He apologizes for freaking out about the wedding, but he felt they were about to make a big mistake.  He asks her to forgive him.  Whatever she wants to do, they’ll do.  They’ll figure it out tomorrow, says Donna, as Eric climbs in bed.  Midge comes back to Point Place.  Hyde has an unexpected trip to the hospital. And Kitty finds some surprising information in Hyde’s medical records.
